Thanks to all those who participated in the virtual 2020 race, we were able to donate $2,325 to the Central Fire & EMS District. We hope to be able to surpass that amount this year as we raise money for the Wisconsin State Firefighter Memorial. We will be offering virtual as well as in person race options this year. On behalf of the Colby Cheese Days Race committee I would like to thank you for your interest in this year’s Colby Cheese Days Race: Run for Jamison event. We hope to provide you with an event that you and your families will enjoy and that you will remember the special meaning this event holds for our community. I am a long time community member and when presented with this opportunity was excited to accept this challenge and take this opportunity to use my love of running to support a noble cause. Running has had a strong influence on my life since I joined the cross country team as a senior in high school. I then took a break from running during college to focus on basketball. Seven years ago my good friend Amanda encouraged me to participate in the Gary Bjorklund Half Marathon and since then I have become an avid runner. Running has created a special bond with my friends and we travel to many races together and refer to ourselves as “The Rummers.” I have been a participant in multiple Cheese Days Races and I am excited to act again as the Race Director this year to help spread the joy of running and give back to the community that I call home. Sincerely, Elizabeth Birr Race Director Race Committee Members: Amy Kampmeyer Heather O’Donnell Angela Skubel Stacy Schnabel
